PITTSFIELD -- The Pittsfield High School golf team earned a 170-190 win over Wahconah on the par-35 front nine at the Country Club of Pittsfield, getting a 38 from Adam Brickle. Freshman Connor McDonough shot a 47 for the hosts, getting his score to count in his first varsity match.
"[Brickle's] playing really well," said Pittsfield coach Chris Polidoro. "When he makes a double he doesn't get down on himself. He's a really good captain. To be honest, I see a future with him in golf."
The Warriors were led by a 42 from Cam Collins. The win helped the Generals, who are already in the Western Mass. tournament, clinch the North.

LANESBOROUGH -- Chad Alibozek's 39 on the par-36 front nine at Skyline Country Club powered the Hurricanes to the win. Andy Cella shot a 42 to lead the Crusaders.
Alibozek had the match's only birdie on the second hole.
"Chad was his usual self today," said St. Joe's coach Fran Brilliant. "They were just deep and consistent enough to pull this out.

LEE -- Jared Fadding's 41 led the Wildcats to the win at the par-35 Greenock Country Club course.
"The conditions were definitely cold for both teams, but our guys are all in the 40s," Lee coach Tom McDarby said. "They played pretty consistent. Jared had some good putts and good chips."
Devin Farnum earned medalist honors with a 38 for Everett.

PITTSFIELD -- The Crusaders earned the 25-22, 25-16, 25-18 win over their guests from New York state.
Maddie Roulier had 10 aces, 16 kills and two assists while Virginia Goggins had nine aces, two kills and 14 assists. Leanne Hamilton had two aces and three kills.
New Lebanon got two aces and five digs from Sara Eaton while Destiny Breen had five aces, three kills and three assists. Jeanie Smith had two aces, two kills and two digs.
Lenox 3, Monument 1
GREAT BARRINGTON -- Lenox prevailed, winning two sets by two points each in a 25-23, 14-25, 25-23, 25-17 victory.
Rachel Cogswell led the Millionaires with 21 assists, 12 digs and three kills while Emma Jackson had nine kills and two blocks. Suzanne Woller added 14 digs and three kills.
Monument coach Steve Piazzo said serving was what put Lenox over the top in those two tight sets.
"When the kids served really well, things went really well," Piazzo said. "When we weren't serving well, that was really the difference."
Kelsey Marzotto had 17 kills, two blocks and two digs for the Spartans. Nicole Keefner added 11 assists, three kills and three digs. Meaghan Prince had 10 assists, three digs and two aces.
Greylock 3, Wahconah 2
WILLIAMSTOWN -- The Mounties pulled out the huge, five-set win 25-23, 22-25, 25-21, 21-25, 15-8. Greylock coach Phil Paul called this one a real back-and-forth battle.
"Probably one of the most exciting, best matches we've played all year," he said.
Michala Dean led Greylock with six aces, 23 kills and 21 digs while Jenna Markland had 24 digs. Kelsey Hadley chipped in with seven kills and 21 assists while Bri Jones had five kills and 11 digs in the marathon win.
Wahconah got three aces, 17 assists and three kills from Becca Grunow. Bethany McBain had five aces, 14 kills, four blocks. Emily Jordan had 10 kills and two blocks.
Pittsfield 3, Taconic 2
PITTSFIELD -- Adrianna Fox had 25 assists and Sienna Carpenter picked up six kills in PHS' 20-25, 25-16, 13-25, 25-18, 15-13 win.
Jade Coty had eight digs and five aces for Pittsfield.
"We didn't wait for the whistle and the ball dropped a couple of times," Taconic coach Jen Doerle said. "We stopped playing when we thought the ball was down. We thought the play was over and it wasn't."
Kirsten McNeice led Taconic with 21 service points, five aces and five kills. Lauren Jones added 17 service points, four aces and two kills, while Haley Hubbard added eight kills and a block.
