BENNINGTON, Vt. -- Mount Anthony got its swim season off to a strong start, completing a sweep of Wahconah on Friday night.
The Patriots won eight of 11 events in the boys meet en route to a 99-65 win. Mount Anthony won all but two events in a 102-68 girls victory.
Kate Ahearn and Heather Foley were double winners. Ahearn took the 50 freestyle (26.47) and the 100 free (1:00.66). Foley was first in the 200 IM (2:28.53) and 100 back (1:10.03).
Logan Gresser won the 100 breaststroke (1:21.27) for Wahconah. Teammate Mariah MacDowell was first in the 500 free (6:43.31).
Robert Murphy and Ryan Spencer had dual wins for Mount Anthony in the boys meet. Murphy took the 100 fly (1:05.57) and the 500 free (6:08.44). Spencer won the 200 IM (2:26.43) and the 100 back (1:06.47).
Devin Gale won the 100 breast (1:22.46) for Wahconah while Eric Desautelle took the 200 free (2:28.06).
