WILLIAMSTOWN -- Former Mount Greylock golfer Dylan Dethier and his Williams College teammate Matt McCarron tied for medalist honors as the Ephs won the Williams Invitational on Sunday.
Dethier's birdie putt gave him a two-day total of 7-over-par 149. McCarron lipped out a birdie putt and settled for a par to tie the match.
Williams finished with a score of 584, while second-place Middlebury was second (599) and Babson was third (602).
MCLA was 18th with a 730. Sean Cota shot a two-day 170 for the Trailblazers.

SOUTH HADLEY -- At The Orchards, Williams won its third consecutive Mount Holyoke Invitational.
The Ephs finished with a score of 647, four strokes better than runners-up Merrimack and Wagner.
Williams' Georgiana Salant finished third overall with a 153. The medalist was Amherst's Elizabeth Monty, who shot 148
Mallock honored by NESCAC
HADLEY -- Williams College kicker Joe Mallock was named the NESCAC special teams player of the week for the opening week of the football season.
Mallock made two field goals, one a career-best 42 yards, and was 5 for 5 on point-after kicks in the Ephs' 41-7 win over Colby. He also punted twice for an average of 34.5 yards.

WILLIAMSTOWN -- One day after battling Wesleyan to a scoreless tie, coach Mike Russo's Ephs took it out on visiting Connecticut College in a 3-0 win.
Peter Morrell got the shutout for Williams (5-0-1, 4-0-1 in NESCAC). He had two saves.
Williams women's soccer
WILLIAMSTOWN -- The Eph women won twice this weekend, but Sunday's contest wasn't an easy one.
Alison Magruder's goal in the 82nd minute broke a tie and gave Williams a 1-0 win over Conn. College.
Hannah Van Wetter and Laura Wann combined to make seven saves for Williams (4-2, 4-0).
MCLA women's tennis
NORTH ADAMS -- Worcester State routed MCLA 7-0 Sunday afternoon. All six singles matches were decided in straight sets.
MCLA's Laura Laureano, playing No. 3 singles, dropped a 6-4, 6-2 decision to Brooke Michanczyk.
