HINSDALE -- Another day, another well-rounded win for the Mount Greylock baseball team.

Andrew Leitch threw a four-hitter and smacked a home run to lead the Mounties to a 13-0 win over Wahconah Regional at the Duquette Sports Academy on Friday.

"They're the most complete team I've seen this year, in two years, actually," said Wahconah coach Jared Shannon. "They are solid one through nine. They play great defense. They have great pitching. They're a great team."

Leitch cracked his home run in the second, which technically was the game-winner. Brother Eric Leitch, Ben Alley and Ed Dufur all had doubles, and Sean Houston had two hits.

Matt Schneider had a double for the Warriors.

SPRINGFIELD -- A day after scoring nine runs in the first inning, the Hornets yielded nine over the first two innings to Putnam.

Joe Gwozdz's start lasted just three innings for McCann. He gave up seven hits and four walks with one strikeout as Putnam quickly grew its lead.

"Starting pitcher just didnt have his stuff today," coach Pat Ryan said. "It really comes down to pitching. If your pitcher comes out strong, a bunch of hits coming together is OK. Once he starts walking kids and we're making errors, it hurts."
