LENOX -- Raiche Wright had six kills and 10 blocks to help Lenox remain unbeaten with a 3-0 sweep of Taconic, 25-18, 25-20, 25-18 on Monday night.

The Millionaires are 7-0, the last undefeated team in the county.

"Raiche had the best blocking night I've seen all year," said Lenox coach Ed Paquette. "As you know, Taconic has a big front line, with Nyanna [Slaughter] in the middle. Raiche and Lizzie Barry, with six blocks, played very well in the middle for us."

Paquette said that while Taconic didn't win a match, "it was a battle. There was a tournament intensity in the gym."

In addition to Wright and Barry, Kristen Read had to kills, 20 assists, three aces, seven digs and five blocks, Suzanne Woller had 11 kills, five aces and eight digs and Liz Mitts had 12 kills and five blocks.

For Taconic, Haley Hubbard had three digs and seven kills, Angela O'Neil had four digs, eight assists and three kills and Kirsten McNeice had two kills and four digs.

LEE -- The Wildcats swept the Warriors, 25-22, 25-16, 25-9.

"The first game was pretty close and Wahconah led most of way," said Lee coach John Warner. "But by the second and third games, we had our offense cranked up."

Katie Morin had 12 kills, three aces and block and four assists for Lee, while Kendra Williams had a kill, seven aces, two digs and 18 assists. Courtney Picard had five kills, an ace and two blocks.

For Wahconah, Faith Pudlo had an ace and six digs; Emily Jordan had two kills, two blocks and eight digs; and Sarah LaFrenier had two kills and a block.

SHEFFIELD -- Paige Hamilton's 10 kills and two aces led the Generals to a 25-17, 25-18, 25-10 win.

Sam DeCarlo added 10 assists, four aces and three kills, while Taylor Turner had three kills for PHS.

"We had trouble returning their serves," Everett coach Dennis Sullivan said. "They had some powerful servers and we were struggling."

Kayla Krom led the Eagles with five kills and three digs, while Parker Snyder added three aces.

GREAT BARRINGTON -- Emily Barbeau tallied 12 assists and seven aces in the Spartans' 25-22, 25-12, 17-25, 25-14 win. Brianna Davis had five kills and three aces, while Caitlyn Osak added four aces and four digs.

Still, Monument coach Mike Troiano saw things to fix.

"When we got our serves in, we were getting a fair amount of aces," he said. "But we were missing a fair amount of serves. Our focus was a little off tonight."

DALTON -- Kris Vahle's 42 and Lucy Schwartz's 44 led the Millionaires to the win on the par-36 back nine at Wahconah Country Club.

"The greens were treacherous," Wahconah coach Pete Terpak said. "Lucy and Kris were the only ones who handled them pretty well. It was a tough challenge today."

Andrew Beaudoin and Jasper Basiliere shot 49s for the Warriors. Terpak believes his players, though, have it in their heads that they can't play well on the back nine.

"When you get it mentally in your head that you can't succeed on it, that's tough," he said.
