NORTH ADAMS -- Two times last week, the Drury girls basketball team had a chance to clinch a Western Massachusetts tournament berth and two times it didn't happen.
Tuesday night, the Blue Devils had one more chance -- and made it. Emily Moulton scored a game-high 15 points as Drury beat Wahconah 50-35 to finish tied for second in the North Division with Monument Mountain. Both teams earned tournament bids with Tuesday night wins.
"Tonight was our final chance. If we lost we were out. It didn't look good early," said Drury coach Jay Meehan. "Once we settled down in the second half, we did a much better job defensively."
Drury led 23-22 at halftime, but held the Warriors to 13 points in the second half.
Katie Dumas led Wahconah with 14 points.
Hoosac Valley 80, Lenox 34
LENOX -- The Hoosac Valley girls completed their run through the Southern Division on Tuesday night by beating Lenox.
Five different Hurricanes scored in double figures as the Southern Division champions held the Millionaires to three points in the first quarter.
Emily Rosse had 18 points to lead the Hurricanes. Liz Mitts had 14 to pace Lenox.
Mount Greylock 47, Mount Everett 27
WILLIAMSTOWN -- Greylock jumped out to a 21-8 lead after one quarter and held the Eagles at bay for 32 minutes.
"Defensively, we're really honing in on it a little bit," said Greylock coach Paul Barrett. "It certainly was us pushing the ball up after playing tough defense.
Lucy Barrett had a game-high 24 points for Greylock.
Hockey: Greenfield 4, Mount Everett 1
SHEFFIELD -- Greenfield's Jourdan York-Welcome scored all four of the Green Wave's goals.
"He was the fastest player on the ice by far," said Everett coach Aidan Gilligan, whose team will see Greenfield again on Friday.
Adam Derwitsch's second-period goal was the only score for the Eagles.
