PITTSFIELD -- Both Pittsfield's Amanda Wright and Mount Greylock's Jenna Phelps won three individual track and field events Friday, but it was Wright's Generals who earned a team victory.

PHS swept Mount Greylock, with the boys winning 80-57 and the girls prevailing 93-47.

Wright earned wins in the 100 meters (12.7 seconds), 200 (26.7) and long jump (14 feet, 6 1/2 inches). Only teammate Taylor Patti kept Wright from a four-win day, as Patti won the triple jump (31-10). Pittsfield's girls also swept the relays.

Not to be outdone, Phelps won the 100 hurdles (16.2), 400 (1:06.2) and javelin (73-6). Her Greylock teammate Emily Kaegi won two events -- the 800 (2:26.4) and the mile (5:27). Jackie Van Slycke won the shot put (28-11) and discus (76-2) for Greylock.

Pittsfield junior Evan Bossio led the way for the boys. He won the 200 (23.38) and the javelin (146-0), and ran a leg of PHS' winning 400 relay (47.01). Will Kirby won the mile (4:57.61) and two-mile (10:37.31) for Greylock.

Monument sweeps Drury

GREAT BARRINGTON -- Connor Storti won four events to lead the Spartans to an easy 131-10 win. He took the 100 (11.4), 200 (23.1), long jump (19-7) and triple jump (36-11). Jason Laramee of Monument was a three-event winner, in the 110 hurdles (17.5), javelin (124-4) and high jump (6-4).

Drury's lone boys win came from Matthew Scanlon in the shot put (37-9).

Victoria Costello and Heather Hassett led the Monument girls, winning three individual events each in Monument's 114-30 win.

Costello won the 100 (13.5), long jump (15-1 3/4) and the triple jump (32-1 3/4), and ran a leg of the 400 relay (52.9). Hassett won the 400 (1:03.7), two-mile (12:47) and the high jump (4-8).

Emma Carchedi won the 800 (2:39.3) and javelin (87-5) for Monument.

Wahconah sweeps Taconic

DALTON -- The Warrior boys won 96-45, and the girls prevailed 88 1/2-52 1/2.

Wahconah's boys swept the relays and lost just three individual events. Two of those events were won by Taconic's Dom Nda -- the 100 (11.4) and the triple jump (40-8 1/4).

Marcus Duncan of Wahconah won his second big 200-meter race this week, beating Nda by four-tenths of a second (22.8 to 23.2).

Gianna Moncecchi won twice for Wahconah's girls, taking the 100 hurdles (17.5) and the long jump (13-11 1/2). That helped Wahconah hold off Taconic and Courtney Luscier, who won the triple jump (31-1 1/4) and the 100 (12.8). Hannah Barbarotta won both the 400 hurdles (1:19.2) and javelin (97-9) for the Braves.

Hoosac, Lenox split

CHESHIRE -- Hoosac's boys coasted to a 95-46 win over the Millionaires, while Lenox's girls held off the Hurricanes 72-69.

Matt Provost won three events for Hoosac -- the 110 hurdles (17.5), javelin (125-6) and discus (106-0). Trevor Ciempa took two events in the win, the high jump (6-0) and the 800 (2:12).

Lenox's Shannon Meisberger won four events to lead the Millionaires. She prevailed in the 100 hurdles (16.5), 400 hurdles (1:13), long jump (15-1 1/2) and triple jump (30-0 1/2). Lenox's Amber Shove won the 100 (12.9) and the 200 (27.5).

Boys tennis: Mount Greylock 4, Amherst 1

AMHERST -- Will Nolan, in his new spot at No. 1 singles, won in straight sets to get the Mounties started Friday.

Nolan won a challenge match against Nyein Soe earlier this week in practice to claim the top spot.

"He seems to have improved his game quite a bit," Greylock coach Stephen Bryant said. "He's added some power to his game, attacking more and winning the big points."

Don't feel too bad for Soe; he won in straight sets at No. 2 singles. Greylock's doubles teams also swept their matches with straight-set wins.

"They're pretty strong. I don't really have to worry about them," Bryant said. "They get the job done. Today, the No. 1 doubles [team] clinched the win for us."

Despite taking all three singles points, the Millionaires made the Spartans work in every match. At No. 1, Kevin Li needed three sets to beat William Palmer 6-7, 6-3, 6-3. At. No. 2, Cam Powell needed a tiebreaker set to defeat Rishi Kedia, 7-6, 2-6, (10-6).

Lenox's lone point came at No. 1 doubles, as Isaac Gotterer and Kris Vahle beat Sam Plishtin and Isaac Graves 6-4, 3-6, 6-3.

Lenox coach Tonio Palmer said his team put up a strong fight.

"The matches were very close," he said. Four of five [matches] could have gone either way. A lot of long rallies and a very close match."

At No. 1 singles, Jacob Malicky needed three sets to beat Andrew Consolati 2-6, 7-5, 6-0. At No. 2 singles, Jonas Malicky also needed three sets, winning 4-6, 6-0, 6-4. Lee's (0-6, 0-4) lone victory came at No. 1 doubles, where Matty Kelley and Michael Eckert beat Kosta Casivant and Max Lowenstein 6-0, 6-2.

"It's tough when your kids win the first set and drop the next two," Lee coach John Perry said. "If you win the first set, you're capable of winning another one, but Everett showed a lot of tenacity and were hanging in there and it worked for them."

The Mounties' 4-0 run in the second half gave them a five-goal lead. The Greylock defense shut the door from their.

Maggie Rorke led Greylock with three goals. Sophie Leamon, Sarah Stripp and Caroline Flynn each had two goals for Greylock.

Lydia Graham led Lee with four goals.
