PITTSFIELD -- It came down to the final match, but in the end, the Mount Greylock boys came off the tennis courts with a 3-2 win over Pittsfield.

The Generals and the Mounties split the two doubles matches and two of the three singles matches at Herberg Middle School. It came down to No. 2 singles, where Jake Foehl played the Generals' Evan Dempsey.

Foehl scored a straight-set 7-5, 6-4 win over Dempsey to clinch the match for Greylock.

LENOX -- This match came down to the final doubles event, and the Lenox duo of Joe Molk and Hugo Hale had to dig deep to come up with the win.

They dropped the first set to Everett's Kosta Casivant and Chris Whitbeck in a tiebreaker, but stormed back to win 6-7 (5-7), 6-4, 6-1. That gave the Millionaires the match win.

Girls tennis: Monument Mountain 4, Taconic 1

PITTSFIELD -- The Spartans swept the three singles matches on the way to improving their record to 8-0 with a win over the Braves.

Monument's Sam White, Cara Freadman and Linda Akor were all straight-set winners.

"They are solid players with a lot of experience," said Taconic coach Ana Larkin.

Taconic avoided being shutout when the first-year pairing of Jackie Kays and Nyanna Slaughter defeated Aidan Holliday and Ashley Glass 3-6, 6-1, 6-0.

DALTON -- Perin Genaway scored three goals and Emmy Cote added three goals and three assists to lead the Warriors (6-1-2) past the Wildcats.

"I think that's the first time we've beaten Lee in girls lacrosse," said Wahconah coach Kathy Budaj. "Perin and Emmy both played well and we had some really good passing that led to some good goals."

Lydia Graham and Alyssa Graham had three goals each for Lee.

WILLIAMSTOWN -- The Mounties led 10-3 at the half and answered Pittsfield's opening goal in the second half with a five-goal run of their own to put the game away.

Sarah Stripp scored five times for Greylock, four of them in the first half. Lucy Barrett, Haley Reinhard and Kelsey Orpin each scored twice for the victors.

Track and field: Wahconah sweeps Lenox

GREAT BARRINGTON -- Kevin Boino won the 100 (11.7), long jump (18-7 1/2) and high jump (5-8) to lead the Warrior boys to a 110-31 win. On the girls side, Gianna Moncecchi's two-win day (400 hurdles, 1:12.8; long jump, 14-4) for Wahconah led the way to an 81-59 win. Shannon Meisberger's two wins for Lenox (110 hurdles, 16.3; triple jump, 31-3) and Amber Shove's two wins (100, 13.1; 200, 27.6) led the Millionaires.

Sean Harvey, Marcus Duncan, Matt Bourdon and Ryan McMahon all won two events each for Wahconah's boys.

Hoosac, Greylock split

CHESHIRE -- A three-win day for Matt Provost (110 hurdles, 17.1; javelin, 129-3; discus, 111-0) led Hoosac Valley's boys to a 93-48 win. On the girls side, Greylock earned a 74-67 win behind two wins each from Emily Kaegi (mile, 5:40; 2-mile, 12:26) and Jenna Phelps (100 hurdles, 16.6; 400 hurdles, 1:09).

Hoosac's girls got three wins from Meg Rodowicz (400, 1:03.1; 800, 2:29; triple jump, 29-7 1/2).
