DALTON -- Brian Gill didn't expect Monday's track and field meet against Wahconah to be an easy one, so he set his Mount Greylock girls relay teams to put them in the best position to sweep the events.

While he -- and the relays -- succeeded, the Greylock distance runners had an even better day in the Mounties' 92-49 win.

"In the 800, mile, two-mile and [3,200 relay], we went 29-3 in points," Gill said. "So there's your big difference in the meet."

Emily Kaegi led the distance charge for the Mountie girls, winning the mile (5 minutes, 20.2 seconds) and the two-mile (12:49).

"She really wanted to run a little bit faster mile, and she came back and ran the 2-mile as a cool-down," Gill said. "She's just so strong right now, it's ridiculous."

Jenna Phelps (100, 13.7; 100 hurdles, 16.77) also won two events for the Mounties.

The Warrior boys used their depth to earn an 85-56 win over Greylock, sweeping both the 100 and the shot put. Three Wahconah athletes won two events. Kevin Boino took the 100 (11.8) and the long jump (18-8 1/2); Eric Klem won the mile (4:30.8) and the two-mile (10:24.35); and Marcus Duncan won the 800 (1:58.9) and the high jump (5-6).
