HOLYOKE -- Rain washed out the Districts F&G Division I track and field meet Friday evening at Holyoke High School, with no reschedule date known as of press time.
Taconic sprinters posted top qualifying times before the rain came, as Courtney Luscier ran the fastest girls 100 (12.98 seconds), and Dom Nda ran the second-fastest boys 100 (11.25).
"The biggest thing for [Luscier] was trying to get a time that was going to get her to the finals," Braves girls coach Paul Phelps said. "It wasn't just about winning her heat."
Pittsfield's Amanda Wright qualified fifth in the 200 (27.28) and sixth in the 100 (13.28), qualifying for the finals in each. Taconic's Keiana West qualified seventh in the 100 hurdles (16.37). For the boys, PHS' Aaron Coty qualified seventh in the 110 hurdles (17.55).
Taconic's Matt Rabasco was fifth in the mile (10:14.72).
