GREAT BARRINGTON -- Pittsfield took the lead for good with a pair of fifth-inning runs, and Liam Nolan's pitching -- plus Alex Carusotto's three-strikeout seventh -- made the runs stand up.

Andrew Winston had an RBI single for Post 68, then stole second base, took third on a passed ball and scored when Mitch Clary reached on an error.

Nolan struck out nine in six innings for Post, allowing just one run on four hits -- one of them Michael Buffoni's RBI single up the middle in the fourth to score Dan Meandro.

"He had the [curveball] working. He had the change-up working," Southern Berkshire coach Alan Havill said of Nolan. "His offspeed pitches were working. He kept everybody offspeed."

Southern Berkshire pitcher James Allentuck went the distance, striking out five. Buffoni and Duncan Jenny doubled for the home side.
