STOCKBRIDGE — SculptureNow is currently accepting applications from established and emerging artists for Sculpture Now in Stockbridge 2009, a juried exhibition of large, outdoor sculpture, which will run from June 1 to Oct. 31.

Nestled in the rolling hills of Western Massachusetts, the historic town of Stockbridge is surrounded by cultural giants in the fields of music, theater, dance and visual arts: Tanglewood, Berkshire Theater Festival, Jacob's Pillow Dance Festival, and Chesterwood, the home and sculpture studio of Daniel Chester French.

The sculptures will be sited on grassy areas along the town's Main Street in order to provide the residents and thousands of visitors free and direct access to the exhibition.

Works should be suitable for long-term outdoor exposure, fabricated and installed in a viewer- safe manner, and of an appropriate outdoor scale. Artists who require installation assistance with crane and/or manpower should detail their requirements when submitting a proposal.

Please send, by postal mail, up to eight photo prints or drawings, clearly marked as site-specific proposals, available works, or documentation of previous works.

Include a list of submitted images. Label all materials with artist's name, title of work, medium, dimensions, weight and installation design and requirements.

Please include a resumé, contact information, and a self-addressed, stamped envelope.
