2 brothers dead in Massachusetts shooting


LOWELL (AP) -- Authorities say two brothers found shot in a house in Lowell have died.

Lowell police found the two men after responding to a call for medical assistance at an Andrews Street house shortly after 2:30 a.m. Sunday.

Thirty-five-year-old Keith Callahan was dead at the scene. His brother, 29-year-old Joseph Callahan, was taken to Lowell General Hospital, where he later died.

Lowell police and state police assigned to the Middlesex District Attorney’s Office are seeking a person of interest for questioning. He’s described as 25-35 years old, 5 feet 6 inches tall, with a thin build, a long goatee and hair worn in a short ponytail. He was wearing a white tee shirt and jeans.
