2 dead, 1 hurt in Wilbraham car crash
WILBRAHAM (AP) -- Police say two people were killed and a third injured when their car struck a utility pole in Wilbraham.
The crash at about 8:30 p.m. Tuesday occurred on a downhill stretch of road. Police say it appears as if the vehicle went of control before striking the pole.
Police Chief Roger Tucker tells WWLP-TV that three young men were thrown from the vehicle.
A 23-year-old man was pronounced dead at the scene. A 19-year-old man died at the hospital.
A 24-year-old man was taken to Baystate Medical Center in Springfield with serious injuries.
Exactly who was driving remains under investigation.
No names were immediately released.
