2 teen girls charged with using gun to threaten another teen

PLAINVILLE, MASS. >> Plainville police say two 15-year-old girls are facing charges for allegedly handcuffing another teen girl and holding what turned out to be a realistic looking pellet gun to her head in a dispute over a boy.

The Sun Chronicle reports that the alleged assault took place at a house party late last month at which alcohol and marijuana were present, and was reported to police by the victim's father.

The two 15-year-old girls face armed assault charges in Norfolk County juvenile court and are being held in custody pending a dangerousness hearing Thursday.

No names were released because they are juveniles.

The alleged victim told police she was threatened as retribution for "stealing" the boyfriend of one of the suspects. She said she thought the gun was real.
