2 women face OUI, assault on police charges in Pittsfield incidents
PITTSFIELD -- Two local women are facing charges in separate incidents early Thursday involving alcohol and battling with police.
Anna M. Ruscetta, 31, of Dalton, was arrested at 9:02 p.m. after a vehicle she was driving struck a building on Crane Avenue.
Ruscetta, of Flansburg Avenue, was charged with operating under the influence of alcohol, driving outside marked lanes, possession of an open container of alcohol, possession of a class A substance and assault on a police officer.
A few hours later, Darla Ann Duclos, 42, of Tyler Street, was pulled over shortly on Onota Street shortly after 2 a.m. and charged with operating under the influence of alcohol, second offense, leaving the scene of a property damage accident, being in possession of an open container of alcohol and assault on a police officer.
Both women were reportedly combative when arrested.
Both were arraigned Thursday and released on personal recognizance, pending separate pretrial hearings on Sept. 9.
