3 Williams golfers earn all-academic honors
The honors for Georgiana Salant didn’t end when she was named a first-team NCAA Division III All-American and then proved she was deserving by capturing the Division III individual title at the NCAA tournament in May.
The Women’s Golf Coaches Association (WGCA) hasnamed Salant and two of her teammates -- senior Emily Wickstrom and sophomore Kelly Kung -- to the Division III All-American Scholars team for the 2013-14 season.
The criteria for selection to the WGCA All-American Scholar Team require a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.50.
Salant, now a four-time WGCA Scholar Athlete honoree, was also selected for the third consecutive year to the Academic All-NESCAC team. Wick strom was selected a WGCA Scholar for the second time, the first coming following her sophomore year. This was Kung’s first selection.
