A local source on Arctic future

Monday September 24, 2012

What is happening while the ice is melting in the Arctic with record-breaking speed? (Eagle, Sept. 20, "Arctic ice hits a re cord low").

Author/journalist Bob Reiss, part-time resident of Becket, has spent three years traveling, interviewing, and attending na tional meetings on the changes taking place in the Arctic. His recent book, "The Eskimo and the Oil Man," is a fascinating read that educates us about the environment, the Inupiat Eskimo culture, the energy industry, and our U.S. future in the Arctic.

Bob Reiss recently returned from the Arctic Imperative Summit in Anchorage, AK. We need to know more, and soon!
