Adams: Annual Town Election nomination papers available


Nomination papers for the Annual Town Election are now available in the town clerk's office.

Nomination papers must be filed with the town clerk no later than 5 p.m. Monday, March 14.

Incumbent Town Meeting candidates must notify the town clerk that they are candidates for re-election by 5 p.m. Monday, March 7.

The following offices will be listed on the Annual Town Election ballot on May 2:

Moderator: one one-year term; Selectmen: two three-year terms. Treasurer: one three-year term; Assessor: one three-year term; Board of Health: one three-year term; Library Trustees: two three-year terms and one one-year term.

Also, Planning Board: one five-year term and one four-year term; Cemetery Commissioner: one three-year term; Housing Authority: one five-year term and one four-year term; Redevelopment Authority: one four-year term and one three-year term.

Northern Berkshire Regional Vocational School District Committee: one three-year term.

Adams-Cheshire Regional School District Committee: two three-year terms for Adams representatives, and one three-year term for a Cheshire representative.

Town Meeting seats are available as follows: Precinct 1: 10 three-year terms; Precinct 2: 10 three-year terms and one one-year term; Precinct 3: 10 three-year terms; Precinct 4: 10 three-year terms; Precinct 5: 10 three-year terms.
