Adams: Children’s program to explore ‘Science Magic’

The Adams Free Library will host "Science Magic," one of the traveling programs from the Museum of Science in Boston, at 1 p.m. Tuesday, July 29.

This program investigates the science behind several classic magic tricks including how to snatch a tablecloth without disturbing the items on top, making a balloon fireproof, and using electromagnetism to defy gravity.

For the grand finale, the educator will demonstrate how science can make it safe to lie down on a real bed of nails.

This program is supported by a grant from the Museum of Science Traveling Programs and is geared for ages 5 and up; younger children may attend if they sit with an adult.
