Adams: Eagles Brass Ensemble to perform

Wednesday November 28, 2012

The Eagles Brass Ensemble will present a holiday concert at 3 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 2, at the Adams Free Library.

The hour-long concert, sponsored by the Adams Historical Society, will take place in the historic setting of the library’s G.A.R. Memorial Hall.

The performance will include selections of traditional brass pieces as well as Swing, contemporary and pop arrangements, with an emphasis on tunes for the holidays.

The Eagles Brass Ensemble consists of approximately 14 members, including trumpet, horn, baritone, trombone and tuba players. The Eagles Band of Pittsfield was founded in 1936 and is the oldest continuing performance ensemble in the Berkshires.

The public is invited to attend. There is no charge for admission. Memorial Hall, on the second floor of the library, is handicap-accessible by elevator.
