Aglet Theatre Company: 'Mass Appeal' slated


SHARON, Conn. -- Aglet Theatre Company will present a staged readimng of Bill C. Davis' "Mass Appeal" on Saturday evening at TriArts Sharon Playhouse's Bok Gallery and March 30 at Berkshire Theatre Group's Unicorn Theatre in Stockbridge.

Doors open at 7 p.m. at both venues for complimentary wine and refreshments before the performance and a discussion will follow afterward.

Thomas Gruenewald is directing Macey Levin and Christopher Michael Vecchia in this two-character drama about an older, entrenched, play-it-safe priest, Father Farley, who finds himself risking his position of comfort with his congregation when he's assigned to mentor a young firebrand priest-in-training named Mark Dolson

Levin, who is Aglet's artistic director, has also been the artistic director at two theaters on Long Island where he acted in or directed more than 35 major productions.

Vecchia, making his Aglet debut as Dolson, has been seen at Berkshire Theatre Group's Colonial Theatre, Main Stage and Unicorn Theatre, and at Barrington Stage Company, The Guthrie Center and Club Helsinki.
