Aglet Theatre Company slates auditions for staged reading

SHEFFIELD >> Aglet Theatre Company is auditioning actors for a May 7 staged reading of Lisa Kron's "Well."

"Well" replaces the previously announced "You Better Sit Down: Tales From My Parents' Divorce."

Auditions, by appointment only, begin at 6 p.m. March 7 at Dewey Hall, 91 Main St. (Route 7).

Sarah Tames is directing this play about mothers and daughters and issues of "wellness." It was produced Off-Broadway in 2004 and then on Broadway in 2006.

Roles to be cast are:

• Lisa Kron — New York performing artist; age range 30s-40s

• Actor 1 — white female; age range 30s-40s; plays multiple roles and herself.

• Actor 2 — black female; age range 30s-40s; plays multiple roles and herself.

• Actor 3 — black male; age range 20s-50s; plays multiple roles and himself.

• Actor 4 — white male; age range 20s-50s; plays multiple roles and himself.

The role of Lisa's mother, Ann, is already cast.
