Apparent Tyler Street vandal caught on tape

PITTSFIELD — Police are seeking information on a man who went on a vandalism spree at the Berkshire County Auto Repair and Sales store on Tyler Street on Saturday evening..

The owners have posted $500 reward for information leading to the arrest of the suspect.

Store manager Tammy Deane-Parent has posted a video of the suspected vandal on her Facebook page. The man, dressed in a hooded sweatshirt, can be seen walking around the lot, scratching the cars with a metal object. In several cases, he walks entirely around a car, scratching the finish.

The owners said the incident appears to have happened between 9 and 9:30 p.m. on Wednesday night. The vandal committed an estimated $30,000 damage in scratching all the cars in the lot.
