Area college students earn dean’s list status for fall semester

Rebecca C. Hall, daughter of Dave and Marianne Hall, has been named to the dean’s list for the fall 2012 semester at UMass Amherst with a grade point average of 3.56. She is majoring in mathematics and statistics.


Lindsey Tatro, daughter of Jeffrey and Amy Tatro of Adams, has been named to the dean’s list at Keene (N.H.) State College for both the spring and fall 2012 semesters. Tatro is majoring in health science. She graduated from Hoosac Valley High School in Cheshire in 2011.


Springfield Technical Community College has named area students to the fall 2012 dean’s list. In order to be considered, students must carry a full-time course-load of 12 or more semester hours of college-level courses and achieve a 3.3 or above grade point average.

Local students are Eric Bassett, Daniel Ehoneah, Makenzie Evangelisto, Jessica Lucia, and Christopher Sayers of Pittsfield; and Jay Peters of Lee.


Champlain College in Burlington, Vt., has named the following area students to its dean’s list for the fall 2012 semester:

Jennifer Sullivan, daughter of Thomas and Ramona Sullivan of Ashley Falls, is majoring in accounting.

Adam Vernali of Canaan, Conn., is majoring in international business.

Taylor VanDyke of Dalton is majoring in communication.

Dean’s list requires a semester grade point average of 3.5 or higher.


Kelsey A. Shanley of Williamstown has been named to the fall 2012 semester dean’s list at Cazenovia (N.Y.) College. Shanley is a senior majoring in management, specializing in Equine Business Management, and is a graduate of Mount Greylock Regional High School, Williamstown.

Dean’s list requires a 3.5 or better grade point average.
