Area residents earn college degrees
James Parkington of Dalton graduated on May 21 with a bachelor of arts degree in English from the College of Arts and Sciences.
Rebecca Smith of Pittsfield graduated magna cum laude on May 21 with a bachelor of arts degree in psychology from the College of Arts and Sciences. Brandeis University
Laura K. Brazee of Providence, R.I., daughter of Austin and Lynda Brazee of Lenox Dale, graduated May 20 with a master of arts degree in sustainable international development.
Brazee is employed by Plan International in Warwick, R.I., as the youth engagement and action manager.
While a student at Brandeis, she spent eight months living in Johannesburg, South Africa, working for CIVICUS World Alliance for Citizen Participation for her practicum.
Brazee earned a bachelor of science degree in political science from University of Rhode Island in Kingston and spent a semester at sea visiting nine countries while sailing around the world. She graduated from Lenox Memorial High School in 2001.
Colin MacKey of Pittsfield graduated with a bachelor's degree in theatre.
Framingham State University
Jenna M. Plant, daughter of William and Linda Plant of Grape Street, Pittsfield, graduated magna cum laude on May 20 with a bachelor of science in food and nutrition. She is a registered dietitian.
While at Framingham, Plant coordinated a program in dietetics, participated in lacrosse, and was a member of Phi Upsilon Omicron, the National Honor Society in Family and Consumer Sciences. She graduated from Taconic High School in 2008.
Annabel Edelman of Sunderland, daughter of James and Carol Edelman of Hupi Road, Monterey, graduated on May 19 with a bachelor of arts degree in creative arts and design.
While in college, Edelman was a four year recipient of the Harold Johnson Presidential Merit Scholarship and a four year recipient of the McLaughlin-Wilson Scholarship. She participated in the Division III mixed-media gallery exhibit at the Liebling Center for the Arts.
Edelman is a 2007 graduate of Lenox Memorial High School.

Caleb Michael Tuttle of Pittsfield graduated on May 11 with a bachelor of science in bible degree in bible ministries.
Shane Cardillo of Great Barrington graduated on May 13 with a bachelor of science degree in sport management.

Demo is the son of Sergio Demo of Chestnut Street, North Adams, and Kim LaFlamme of East Main Street, North Adams. He graduated from Drury High School in North Adams in 2008.

Stephen Andenmatten of Housatonic, son of Sara Zanin of Housatonic and Robert Andenmatten of Great Barrington, graduated May 26 with a bachelor of arts degree in architecture. He is a 2007 graduate of Monument Mountain Regional High School in Great Barrington.

Paula Kristen Winters of Pittsfield graduated May 12 with a doctor of physical therapy degree.
Mary Ellen Morrissey of Williamstown graduated May 12 with a doctor of nursing science degree. She is employed by Salem State University as an assistant professor of nursing and is now living in Swampscott.
Hannah Bartini of Pittsfield graduated on May 20 with a master's degree in education of the deaf. Bartini is a graduate if Massachusetts College of Liberal Arts in North Adams and Miss Hall's School in Pittsfield.
University of Massachusetts
Tyler J. Jamross, son of Mark and Linda Jamross of High Street, Dalton, graduated cum laude on May 11 with a bachelor of business education degree in finance and operation management. He is employed by EMC Corporation in Hopkinton.
While at UMass, Jamross was a member of the Beta Gamma Sigma Honor Society and the Golden Key Honour Society.
He graduated from Wahconah Regional High School in Dalton in 2008.
Amanda Marie Krutiak, daughter of Ronald and Mary Krutiak of Clarksburg, graduated on May 11 with a master's degree in communication disorders/SLP. She will be completing her Clinical Fellowship Year in a public school setting and in the future plans to specialize in AAC and Telepractice therapy services.
She is a 2008 graduate of Assumption College in Worcester and a 2004 graduate of McCann Technical High School in North Adams.
University of Massachusetts
Michael Anthony Lucido of Lowell, son of Julio and Tammi Lucido of Balance Rock Road, Lanesborough, graduated with a master of arts degree in community social psychology.
He graduated from Worcester State University in 2010 with a bachelor of science degree in psychology and from Mount Greylock Regional High School in Williamstown in 2005. While at Worcester State, Lucido played football for the Lancers for four years and received the coach's pick award in 2009.
Wentworth Institute of Technology
Anthony Allegrone of Boston, son of Louis and Susan Allegrone of Hinsdale, graduated in May with a master's degree in architecture.
While at Wentworth, Allegrone received the Fellowship award for maintaining high academic standing and a high standard of professionalism and was offered a position in Wentworth's Section Leader Program. Upon graduation, he was presented with the Design Excellence Award by the Department of Architecture in recognition of his thesis project.
Allegrone is now employed by the architecture firm, Rauhaus, Freedenfeld & Associates in Boston.
He graduated from Wentworth Institute of Technology in 2011 with a bachelor of science degree in architecture and from Berkshire School in Sheffield in 2007.
