Area students recognized for academic achievement
Joshua Labeau of Dalton has been named to the dean’s list at Wentworth Institute of Technology in Boston for the spring 2014 semester.
Dylan E. LeSage, son of Paul and Sharon LeSage of Lakeway Drive, Pittsfield, has been named to the dean’s list at Salem State University for the 2014 spring semester.
LeSage is a sophomore in the bachelor of fine arts in acting program. He is a 2013 graduate of Taconic High School.
Nathan Staffin, son of David and Jill Staffin of Cheshire, has been named to the dean’s list at Westfield State University for the spring 2014 semester.
A junior at Westfield, Staffin is majoring in criminal justice and minoring in business and sociology.
Dean’s list requires a grade point average of 3.3.
Theresa E. Lane of Lenox, daughter of Larry Lane and Susan Lyman, has been named to the dean’s list at Smith College in Northampton for the spring 2014 semester.
Dean’s list students represent the top 25 percent of the student body based on the total records for the previous academic year. Students must be enrolled at Smith for the full year to be named the dean’s list.
Lane has completed her sophomore year and is majoring in psychology and minoring in chemistry. She is a graduate of Lenox Memorial High School.
Lenox native Samantha Patella has been named spring 2014 dean’s list at Seaver College at Pepperdine University in Malibu, Calif.
Dean’s list students must be in the upper 10 percent of their class and maintain a 3.5 or better grade point average.
Kelsey Lynn Frederick, daughter of Mark and Darsi Frederick of Canaan, N.Y., received academic honors at Boston College by making the dean’s list with first honors for the spring 2014 semester.
A sophomore, Frederick is majoring in math with minors in music and business in the School of Arts and Sciences.
Endicott College in Beverly has named the following students to its dean’s list for the 2014 spring semester:
Emily Margaret Consolati, daughter of David and Elaine Consolati of Lee, is a junior majoring in liberal studies/education.
Anah Pignatelli, daughter of William "Smitty" Pignatelli of Lenox and Holly Pignatelli of Pittsfield, is a junior majoring in communication.
Laura Margaret Smith, daughter of John and Theresa Smith of South Egremont, is a senior majoring in liberal studies/education.
Dean’s list requires a minimum grade point average of 3.5
