Batman is back
Eight years after the events in "The Dark Knight," Batman (Christian Bale), hobbled and downbeat, has gone into seclusion at stately Wayne Manor. Crime is on the upswing. Terrorists, led by the ruthless Bane (Tom Hardy), are on the loose and Gotham City is in serious danger.
That’s the setup for the much-hyped eagerly awaited "The Dark Knight Rises," director Christopher Nolan’s nearly three-hour finale to his "Batman" trilogy.
There are advance screenings midnight tonight at Beacon Cinema in Pittsfield, Berkshire Mall Cinemas in Lanesborough, North Adams Movieplex 8 and Triplex Cinema in Great Barrington before the PG-13-rated saga begins its run Friday. The movie also will be at at Crandell Theatre in Chatham, N.Y.
See feature on D3.
