Authorities find missing 14-year-old in Arizona
PITTSFIELD -- A 14-year-old boy missing from Pittsfield since Friday has been found by authorities in Arizona.
Zackary Lawrence of Francis Avenue was reportedly safe, but the details surrounding his disappearance and transit to Arizona weren't immediately clear.
Pittsfield Police Department declined to comment beyond a statement posted to the department's Facebook page Wednesday night, which said the investigation into Lawrence's case remains "ongoing and unfolding."
City police and Berkshire County Law Enforcement Task Force members assisted the Federal Bureau of Investigation and members of the Chandler Police Department in Arizona in searching for the juvenile.
Pittsfield Police Detective Capt. Patrick F. Barry on Wednesday afternoon said the department was "investigating it as a runaway case."
