Authorities seek suspect in Malden woman's killing

MALDEN, MASS. >> Authorities are searching for a suspect in the killing of a Malden woman found dead in her apartment earlier this week.

Kenneth Manning of Malden has been charged with murder in the death of 36-year-old Colleen Russell.

An arrest warrant was issued Thursday for the 35-year-old Manning, who remains at large. Authorities are seeking the public's help in finding him.

Russell was found at about 9 p.m. Monday after authorities responded to a well-being check at her apartment. She was pronounced dead at the scene.

The medical examiner determined that she died of "sharp force injuries." Authorities said the incident did not appear to be random.

Authorities say Manning was last seen in Somerville on Feb. 16.
