Banding workshop set

Friday, January 09
The Berkshire Wildlife Sanctuaries will sponsor a bird banding demonstration Saturday with instructor Christyna Laubach and volunteers. Participants will help gather data and release the birds unharmed as instructors demonstrate the proper use of mist nets and band the birds that are captured.

The demonstration, which will run from 10 a.m. to noon, is free to members and will cost $4 for adult nonmembers and $3 for child nonmembers. Participants are free to come and go during the program.

Attendees are encouraged to call ahead if weather is inclement.

Registration is required; this program is not recommended for children under 3.
