BCRHA financial literacy workshops begin next week

PITTSFIELD -- The Berkshire County Regional Housing Authority is offering its fourth series of four Economic Literacy/Financial Literacy Workshops.

They will take place on four consecutive Wednesdays beginning on Feb. 26. The hours are 6 to 7 p.m. The sessions will be held at the BCHRA’s offices on the fourth floor of 1 Fenn St.

The workshops are free and open to the public, but space is limited which makes pre-registration essential.

The seminars will focus on family economics, spending and savings strategies, improving credit ratings and bolstering budgeting skills, smart shopping, and avoiding the pitfalls of harmful financial products.

The course is geared for those who are worried or concerned about maintaining or improving their current economic condition. It is designed especially for those facing tenancy or mortgage issues either currently or in the future.

Attendees are eligible for economic incentives for completing the course and coming to each session.

Information/registration: Jim Hamilton, (413) 447-8894 ext. 210.
