The Becket Athenaeum, Becket-Washington’s Community Library, has received a $2,264 grant from Berkshire Taconic Community Foundation to fund "iListen iRead iLearn," an enhanced weekly story time for children ages 0-5 and their caregivers that will also introduce children to the latest technology as it relates to reading, storytelling and learning.

The Berkshire Taconic grant will be used for story time staffing, supplies and to purchase an iPad and educational apps to be used in conjunction with the storytelling activities.

The program will commence Tuesday, April 1, from 10 a.m. to noon and will run weekly on the school calendar. The program will continue this summer and into fall 2014.
