Becket: Mullen House to exhibit work of fiber artist Lauren Horowitz

The Mullen House Education Center will present "Lauren Horowitz: Works of Art in Fabric and Thread." will open Friday, Sept. 7, at the Mullen House Education Center, 12 Brooker Hill Road at the corner Route 8, in North Becket Village.

A gala reception will be held on Friday, Sept. 7, from 4 to 7 p.m. to coordinate with the opening of the Becket Arts Center’s "Art in Quilted Form: Juried Show of Fiber Artists" reception, located across the street.

Horowitz is a freelance artist with more than 35 years of experience working in fabric and other creative media.

The Mullen House Gallery will be open on Fridays and Saturdays, 1 to 4 p.m. from Sept. 7 to 22, or by appointment by calling (413) 623-2100.

Also on view are archival materials from the permanent collection of the Becket Land Trust Historic Quarry.
