Become educated on GM foods

Tuesday April 30, 2013

A week ago, a group of dedicated people convened on Park Square in Pittsfield. They held up signs regarding our right to know about genetically modified foods. Someone came with a banjo and an original song about Franken seeds, which Monsanto produces. The chorus said "They don't want you to know -- the Franken seeds they sow; the poisons they grow; the profits they show; it's gonna hurt us we know." Why didn't The Eagle cover this gathering? Why were only a handful of people interested? They met from noon to 6 p.m. Even a half hour would make a difference.

Food is medicine and we are slowly showing more allergies and unknown ailments because though there was a time when the earth was not contaminated with pesticides and herbicides, this is no longer the case. The minerals have been removed and poisons have been put there instead.

Wake-up everybody. Your health and that of future generations is at stake. It is up to us to make our voices heard. Two websites to consult are: and SHIRLEY KASINDORF
