Berkshire Bank reschedules community service project to June 18

PITTSFIELD -- Berkshire Bank has rescheduled one of its three "Day of Service" Projects in Berkshire County to Wednesday, June 18.

The project involving 30 employees who will beautify Burbank Park was originally scheduled to take place today, but was postponed because of the weather. The employees will paint picnic table and benches, mulch the children’s playground area, and clean up hiking trails beginning at noon.

The bank’s two other Day of Service projects in the Berkshires took place as scheduled today. Those projects will take place at the Lenox Community Center and at the Pittsfield Boys and Girls Club’s camp at Camp Russell in Richmond.

Berkshire Bank is hosting its sixth company-wide day of service today. Over 250 employees are expected to participate in 20 community service projects that benefit nonprofit organizations across Massachusetts, New York, Connecticut and Vermont.
