Pittsfield: BerkshireWorks classes scheduled

The BerkshireWorks Career Center has several workshops and classes scheduled for next week at its facility on the third floor of 160 North St.:

On Monday, a Veteran's Workshop will take place from 10 a.m. to noon, followed by the Job Club from 1 to 2 p.m. Register at

On Tuesday, a Career Center seminar takes place from 2 to 3 p.m. to discuss services, resources and options that are available at BerkshireWorks. All attendees must pre-register by either calling (413) 499-2220 ext. 110, or going to

On Thursday, North County Job Search takes place from 9 a.m. to noon at the Adams Visitors Center, and from 1 to 4 p.m. at the North Adams Public Library. Walk-ins are welcome.

Carol Patton, the publisher of IMAGINE Magazine, will be the guest speaker when the Berkshire Film and Media Collaborative holds its fifth networking event for the film/media industry on Thursday, Feb. 6.

The event takes place between 6 add 8 p.m. at the Hadley Farms Meeting House in Hadley. Admission is free although contributions are welcome.

Following Patton's speech, attendees will have the opportunity to network. Hors d'oeuvres will be served with a cash bar. RSVP is required.
