Berkshire County Arc is offering a free informational meeting about its Adult Family Care Program.

BCARC’s Adult Family Care Program is available to people who cannot live safely on their own and need help or supervision with daily living skills, such as bathing, dressing, eating, ambulation, etc.

To qualify, an individual must be 16 years of age or over and have Masshealth or be Masshealth eligible. Caregiver’s receive a significant financial tax-free stipend depending on the level of care provided.

In addition, the program offers an array of supports and services to the member and caregiver. It maximizes the potential for community participation by allowing individuals to live in their community with needed supports.

The meeting will be held at Berkshire County Arc’s main office at 395 South St., Pittsfield, on Tuesday, Oct. 23, at 5:30 p.m. A light dinner and refreshments will be served.

Reserve a seat by calling Maryann Hyatt at (413) 499-4241, ext. 227, by Friday, Oct. 19.
