Berkshire County: College students recognized for academic achievement


Rachel Konowitch, a junior majoring in psychology and brain and cognitive sciences at the University of Rochester, has been named to the dean’s list for academic achievement for the fall 2013 semester.

Konowitch, a resident of Richmond, is the daughter of Wendy Laurin and Jeff Konowitch, and a graduate of Monument Mountain Regional High School in Great Barrington.


Robert M. Glick, son of Dr. Benjamin Glick and Dianne Glick of New Ashford, has been named to the dean’s list for the 2013 fall and 2014 spring semesters at Elon University in Elon, N.C. Dean’s list requires a grade point average of at least 3.50 and no grade below a B-minus.


Alexandra Young, daughter of Christopher and Lisa Young of Lee, has been selected as a William F. Field Alumni Scholar by the University of Massachusetts Alumni Association and is the recipient of a $750 scholarship. Young is a member of the Class of 2015 at UMass Amherst.


Morgan Bertolozzi, daughter of David and Jeanette Bertolozzi of Pittsfield, has been named to the president’s list at Western New England University, Springfield, for the 2014 spring semester. President’s list requires a grade point average of 3.8 or higher. Bertolozzi is an accounting major.


The following University of Massachusetts Dartmouth students have been named to the 2014 spring dean’s list in recognition of earning a semester grade point average of 3.2 or higher:

Dalton: Anthony Bruce, Meghan Curro, Sarah French, Scott Lynch, and Heather Szklasz.

Otis: Maria Middleton.

Pittsfield: Barret Bradley, Abigail LeRose, Leslie Martin, and Turner Scott.
