Berkshire County: Colleges announce area graduates
Lisa M. Mellace of Pittsfield graduated May 22 with a bachelor of arts degree in print and digital media.
Jessica Stevens, daughter of Jeff and Tammy Stevens of Great Barrington, graduated May 19 with a bachelors of arts degree, summa cum laude, in sociology and a minor in international studies.
While at Boston College, Stevens was elected to the Phi Beta Kappa Society, a liberal arts and sciences honor society. She was an undergraduate research fellow in the Sociology Department and was a staff member of the Boston College Women's Resource Center.
Through her work at the Women's Resource Center, Stevens traveled to Washington, D.C., in January 2014 and met with Vice President Joe Biden and other White House officials as part of the White House Task Force to Protect Students from Sexual Assault. She also spent a semester abroad in Buenos Aires, Argentina.
Stevens is working as a victim witness advocate at the Suffolk County District Attorney's office in Boston.
She is a 2010 graduate of Monument Mountain Regional High School in Great Barrington. Boston University
Cody M. Schwarzer of Lanesborough graduated in May with a bachelor of arts degree in biochemistry and molecular biology.
Brittany A. Shepard of Cheshire graduated in May with a bachelor of science degree in communication.
Stephan Boris Danyluk of Williamstown graduated May 24 with a major in mathematics and a minor in education studies.

Brianne Morrison of Pittsfield earned a bachelor of science degree.
Rosa McKeon of New Lebanon, N.Y., earned a bachelor of science degree.
Rebecca Fay of Chatham, N.Y., earned a bachelor of science degree.
Joseph Krok of Pittsfield earned a combined bachelor of science/master of business administration degree.
Viola Silvan of Chatham, N.Y., earned a master of science in education degree.

Brianna Flynn of Pittsfield received a bachelor of arts degree on May 18.
Franklin Pierce University
Hillary Peirce of Drury graduated in the spring with a master of physician assistant studies degree.
Callie E. Carlson of Lanesborough graduated magna cum laude in the spring with a bachelor of science degree in accounting/finance.
Green Mountain College
Luca Latino of Sheffield graduated May 17 with a bachelor of arts degree in interdisciplinary studies.
Travis Palmer, son of Doris C. Palmer of Lenox, graduated May 19. He earned a bachelor of arts degree in chemistry/Spanish.
St. Paul, Minn.
Sophia Nikitas, the daughter of Mary Dunn of Brooklyn, N.Y., and Steve Nikitas of Pittsfield, graduated cum laude with a liberal arts degree in international studies and classics (classical languages) on May 17.
Nikitas is a graduate of Berkeley Carroll School in Brooklyn.
Rachel Bienert of Great Barrington graduated in the spring with a bachelor of science degree in nursing.
