PITTSFIELD >> Berkshire Museum's celebration of the American West continues this weekend with the public opening Saturday of the 2015 Festival of Trees — "Westward Ho Ho Ho!"

A preview party is scheduled 5:30-7:30 p.m. Friday.

The Festival of Trees will be on view through Jan. 3.

This year's edition of the museum's annual major fundraising event will feature more than 100 twinkling trees sponsored by businesses, schools and community organizations, inspired by this year's theme.

Visitors can expect to see lots of trees with cowboy hats and boots, bright bandannas, horses, bison, stagecoaches, cactuses and all manner of Western flair.

In addition to a first look at the decorated holiday trees, the preview party features cowboys, cowgirls and refreshments. Music will be played by Andy Wrba and Friends, a local band featuring acclaimed local bassist Andy Wrba, Chris Merenda on the banjo and guitar, and Benny Kohn on piano. Ticket information is available online at berkshiremuseum.org/support/festival-of-trees/

Proceeds from The Festival of Trees benefit the museum's education programs.
