Berkshire United club falls in USA Sevens H.S. Rugby Challenge quarterfinal
Berkshire United Rugby Club's high school boys team ended its weekend at the USA Sevens High School Rugby Challenge with a 27-0 loss to Pride Rugby of Washington, D.C. in Sunday's quarterfinal round.
Berkshire, which has players from five county high schools on its boys club, finished the tournament with a 2-2 record. The club won twice in the pool-play round of the 16-team national invitational tournament to reach Sunday morning's quarterfinal round.
Pride went on to win the tournament championship, defeating South Mecklenburg (N.C.) 19-5 in the title match.
