Bits & Bites: food news in the Berkshires
Savoy Volunteer Fire Department/Hilltown Hose Company will hold an all-you-can-eat-spaghetti supper from 5 to 8 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 17, at the Savoy Fire House.
The meal includes spaghetti and meatballs, salad, bread and dessert. Vegetarian sauce and gluten-free pasta are available.
There also will be a 50/50 raffle and homemade pie sale.
Donation: $10, adults; $5, seniors and kids younger than 12
A food drive will be held from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Sunday, Sept. 18, at the Windsor Congregational Church
Donations will be delivered to food banks in Dalton and Hinsdale. The drive is coordinated by the WCC Women's Group.
Brigham Center fundraiser
The Gladys Allen Brigham Community Center will hold its Party on the Patio fundraiser from 5 to 7 p.m. on Sunday, Sept. 18, at Mazzeo's Ristorante, 1015 South St., Pittsfield.
The event will feature world-class wine and beer, delicious hors d'oeuvres, a silent auction, raffles and a fabulous door prize. All proceeds will benefit the Brigham Center's programs, which serve over 3,300 children and families every year.
Tickets are $30 each or $75 for VIP tickets. VIP tickets include exclusive wine and beer selection with first-class hors d'oeuvres beginning at 4 p.m., VIP parking and swag bag.

Berkshire Grown Harvest Supper
Chefs from one of New York's most prestigious child welfare agencies, Berkshire Farm Center and Services for Youth, will serve up maple-and-mustard-glazed pulled pork and fresh, late-season coleslaw at the annual Berkshire Grown Harvest Supper, Sept. 19 at Ski Butternut in Great Barrington.
Tickets are $85 person and $75 for Berkshire Grown members. For more event details, call 413-528-0041.
