Rolling into town
The New England Food Truck Festival is returning to Eastern States Exposition Center for its second year. A festival with over 60 of New England's premier food trucks will be at the Exposition in West Springfield, Mass., on Saturday and Sunday, July 23 and 24.
The festival will be held from noon to 8 p.m. on Saturday and noon to 6 p.m. Early access will be available on Saturday from 11 a.m. to noon only. A limited number of passes will be available and will include a NoRA cupcake and a non-alcoholic beverage).
Admission (6 and older) is $5 at the gate; children younger than 6 admitted free.
The festival will also feature live music/bands, face painting for children, field games and more.
Farmers market Green Day
Saturday, July 23, is "Green" Day at the Lee Farmers Market, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., in front of the First Congregational Church on the Town Green. Bring extra, clean reuseable bags to share. For more information, visit www.leefarmersmarket.com
Chicken barbecue benefit
The Florida Volunteer Fire Department will hold a chicken barbecue from 3 to 7 p.m. on Saturday, July 23, at the Greylock Club, Route 2, North Adams.
Tickets are $12 and available from any Florida firefighter or at the door. Proceeds support purchases and upgrades of fire fighting equipment.
Gluten-free cooking demo
Celebrity Chef Michael Ballon, local Dietitian Lisa Kuczarski, and the non-profit Foodicine Health will host a gluten-free cooking demonstration, "Yes, You Can Eat Gourmet and Gluten-Free," from 1:30 to 3:30 p.m. on Saturday, July 23, at the Hilton Garden Inn in Pittsfield.
The event is a fundraiser for the national non-profit that provides educational programming and advocacy for individuals that need to follow a "special diet" because of a chronic medical condition, such as celiac disease, diabetes, heart disease, high blood pressure, acid reflux, kidney stones, etc. and food allergies.

Children's program benefit
A benefit dinner for Salem's Lunch, Learn & Play summer children's program will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. on Thursday, July 21, at Salem Community Fellowship Church (the Central House building) on 224 Main St., Salem, N.Y.
The menu will include chicken parmesan and spaghetti, salad, bread, dessert and a beverage for $7 per dinner. Dining-in is all-you-can-eat; take out is also available. All funds will go directly to benefit the LL&P program at the Salem Courthouse. For more information, call 518-854-3208.
Food Lab at WCMA
Get a taste of the role science plays in your kitchen. Artist and chef Lexa Walsh will cook up some surprises from 5 to 8 p.m. on the patio at the Williams College Museum of Art, Williamstown
