Body of young man found in Lowell pool

LOWELL, Mass. (AP) - Police in Lowell are investigating the death of a young man who was found in the high school pool.

The victim, who appeared to be a teenager, was found at about 5:45 p.m. on Monday by a swim team entering the pool area for practice.

Police say he apparently drowned and there were no visible signs of trauma on his body.

Authorities say the pool was supposed to be locked and no one was supposed to be inside at the time. They are trying to figure out how the victim made it into the pool area.

No names were released.
