Bookstore to host mystery writer panel

Chapters Bookstore, 78 North St., will host a mystery writer's panel discussion and book signing at 6 p.m. Thursday.

On hand will be Jim Ciullo, author of "Orinoco" and "A Tango in Tuscany;" M. E. Kemp, author of "Death of a Bawdy Belle" and "Death of a Dutch Uncle;" and Cindy Davis, author of "The Final Masquerade," "Circus Bandits," "Dessert Bandits" and "Shadow Bandits."

Ciullo lives in the Berkshires and travels regularly throughout the country. Ciullo has worked summer seasons at several cultural venues such as Tanglewood, The Mount and Ventfort Hall. He is a member of Mystery Writers of America.

Kemp's short story, "Murder in the Marsh", won first prize in the New England Writer's Network mystery contest (2006). Other short stories and essays have won awards.

Davis is the author of several mystery novels, both for adults and young adults, as well as numerous short stories and articles. She has also edited two magazines, and the novels of countless authors. Davis currently resides with her family in New Hampshire.

This event is free and open to the public. Light refreshments will be served.
