Boston man charged with robbing men via social media
BOSTON >> A man authorities say robbed other men he lured via social media into meetings with what they thought were women is headed to court.
The Suffolk district attorney's office says 30-year-old Rakeem Austin, of Boston, is scheduled for arraignment Monday.
Prosecutors say Austin is charged with nine armed robberies.
Austin was initially charged with five robberies after allegedly luring men to rendezvous with what they thought were women, then taking their cash and valuables.
But a grand jury investigation developed additional evidence in four more cases.
It's not known of Austin has a lawyer.
