Boy, 2, not seriously hurt in fall from second-story window
PITTSFIELD -- A 2-year-old boy fell who fell from a second-story window on Wednesday night was apparently not seriously hurt, according to the Pittsfield Police.
The boy toppled out of a Lebanon Street home about 8 p.m. Wednesday, and landed on a grassy area in the backyard of the residence.
It is believed the toddler crawled onto a radiator next to the window and fell through the open and unscreened window.
Police said the boy cried, but suffered no apparent serious injuries.
The Pittsfield Police and Fire departments responded to the accident. The boy was taken to Berkshire Medical Center for evaluation by Action Ambulance Services.
There was no information on whether the youngster had been released from the hospital.
Police did not reveal the name or exact address of the family.
No charges were filed in the case.
