Brien Center extends hours at North County site for crisis services

NORTH ADAMS -- In partnership with the North Adams Police Department, the Brien Center’s North County site at 124 American Legion Drive will be remain open and staffed for extended hours, seven days a week.

The Brien Center has taken this step in order to provide crisis services in a safe and secure location since the closing of North Adams Regional Hospital on March 28 eliminated the hospital’s emergency department.

The center intends to maintain extended hours at its North County site on an interim basis until the emergency department can be re-established in the community.

Although services can be received by coming directly to 124 American Legion Drive, the best way to initiate crisis services is by calling the Brien Center’s 24/7 crisis hotline at (800) 252-0227.

Since the Brien Center does not have the capability to treat medical conditions of any kind, please call 911 if emergency medical treatment is needed.
