Bring the Kids: June 23 - 29

Avoid the annual summer vacation chorus of "I'm bored!" by getting the kids out of the house. Plan your Friday in the Berkshires by hopping around one of the many cultural venues participating in Free Fun Fridays this Friday, June 24. Or, put a book in your child's hand on those rainy days inside and let their imagination fly. Every explorer needs to feed his/her appetite, so stop by the annual Berkshire Food Festival on Sunday, June 26.

Celebrate Free Fun Friday — sponsored by the Highland Street Foundation — at a number of Berkshire County venues. Bring the kids for free fun on Friday, June 24, to The Mount, Tanglewood, Clark Art Institute or Mass MoCA.

Get your little readers set for the summer by signing up for the Bennington Free Library's children's and young adult summer reading programs, "On Your Mark, Get Set...READ!" and "Get in the Game...READ!" at noon, Monday, June 27.

Expand your kids' palates at the Berkshire Food Festival in North Adams, Mass. From noon to 4 p.m. on Sunday, June 26, stop by Main Street for plenty of food and family fun. Grab lunch and try your hand at the cornhole contest.
